This is a part of a molar from a mammoth Mammuthus primigenius which died about 50

This is a nice specimen from an unusual species

It is a very well-prepared specimen complete with the quadrate and pterygoid bones

On the back there are the remains of some pencil writing which is mostly illegible although I think it was possible to record where the items was originally bought

The skull length is 114mm
