La Chenade, Lalande-de-Pomerol, 2021 NoStockLimit and a touch of spiceThis is Pomerol pedigree winemaking in a more affordable bottle: La Chenade comes from the late Denis Durantou, the celebrated hand behind Chateau L'Eglise Clinet, made from a parcel in his Lalande de Pomerol holdings just north of Pomerol proper. The blend is roughly 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, grown on sandy gravelly soils and aged in French oak with about 30% new.
